Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RubanTag, a PDF accessibility tagging service operated by Ruban Softwares ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

RubanTag automatically adds accessibility structure tags (PDF/UA-1) to PDF files using a heuristic Python engine. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or completeness of tagging results.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use RubanTag to:

• Upload files you do not own or have rights to process.
• Upload files containing unlawful, harmful, or malicious content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the service.
• Circumvent plan limits through multiple accounts or automation not using the documented API.
• Resell access to the service without an Enterprise agreement.

3. Your files

You retain full ownership of files you upload. We do not claim any rights to your content. Files are processed solely to perform tagging and are deleted automatically after your plan's retention period. We do not share your files with any third parties.

4. Plans and billing

• Free and Guest plans are provided at no charge and may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice.
• Pro plan is billed monthly at Rs.499/month via Razorpay. Billing begins on subscription date.
• You may cancel at any time. No refunds are issued for partial months already paid.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access. We are not liable for losses resulting from service downtime.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ruban Softwares shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of RubanTag. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Ruban Softwares against claims arising from your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Trichy, Tamil Nadu.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
